Hundreds of individual items are identified in this spectacular set of detailed illustrations. The kit is based on a Grumman
Aerospace and Electronics Corporation engineering drawing dated May 2, 1966. Although some details differ from the final flown configuration, the general layout remained as shown. Original drawing
content is left unedited to document the design intent at the time.
The illustrations are scaled at 1/24 to aid modelers. Original depictions of astronauts performing various tasks give the
illustrations a human scale as well.
Text on the first sheet describes the general scope of Apollo and explains the purpose of the Lunar Module. With this general
overview and all the details, students and scholars at all levels will find this kit fascinating.
The kit illustrations fill three sheets about 36" square.
