Propellant Quick Disconnect Ports
  • Two propellant quick disconnect ports shown: fully assembled (at left), and disassembled.
  • Used throughout the Command and Service Modules for propellant loading and testing.
  • Port at left had been installed in Spacecraft 117, the second Skylab mission. It was removed before the flight because of a leak detected in testing.
  • Disassembled port was removed from Spacecraft 114, the Apollo 17 mission, before its flight. It also was removed because of a leak, then taken apart for analysis.
